Andrijevica is the center of Andrijevica Municipality with a population of 5,785 and is considered unofficial centre of Vasojevići region. BeraneBerane is one of the largest towns of northeastern Montenegro and a former administrative centre of the Ivangrad District. It is a seat of one of many multi-ethnic and multi-religious municipalities in Montenegro. The town is located on the Lim river. Bijelo PoljeBijelo Polje is a town in northeastern Montenegro on the Lim River. It is the administrative, economic, cultural and educational centre of northern Montenegro. Bijelo Polje is the center of Bijelo Polje Municipality. KolašinKolasin is city on the North of Montenegro. Founded by Turks in 17th century, this small city is one of must visit places in Montenegro. The restless Rivers Tara and Moraca stream along it and is surrounded by mountains. Sinjajevina, Bjelasica, Kljuc and Vucje embraced this little city. Kolasin is located at 954m of altitude and offers excellent vacation as in winter as well as summer. MojkovacThe small mountain town of Mojkovac is situated at the altitude of 820 m above sea level on the north-east of Montenegro at the foot of the Belasica and Sinjavina mountain ranges. Mojkovac is located right at the beginning of the river Tara canyon within about 100 km from the countries capital – Podgorica. It is often called the “the small Switzerland of Montenegro” due to the incredible beauty of the mountain ranges that surround it from all sides. Petnjicaou are standing in front of one of the largest mosques in the Balkans, characterised by its unique architecture with wooden, hand-carved pillars. With a floor area of about 550m2 it can accommodate up to as many as 1,200 believers. The mosque in Petnjica is also the only threestorey mosque in Montenegro. It is several centuries old and as such its appearance has also changed over time. It is not known for certain when it was built. Legend says it was at the end of the 16th century, when with the decrease in importance of the town of Bihor, mosques started to be built outside its walls as well. Major roads led along the River Popča and correspondingly mosques were built along its course as well. Historians connect its construction with the arrival of Haidar-pasha Selim, in 1689, when several Oriental-style structures were built in Bihor and the River Lim valley. PljevljaPljevlja is a town and the center of Pljevlja Municipality located in the northern part of Montenegro. The city lies at an altitude of 770 m. In the Middle Ages, Pljevlja had been a crossroad of the important commercial roads and cultural streams, with important roads connecting the littoral with the Balkan interior. RožajeRožaje is a town in northeastern Montenegro. Surrounded by hills to its west and mountains to its east, it is the source of the river Ibar, which gives its name to the local sports clubs FK Ibar, KK Ibar and OK Ibar. ŠavnikŠavnik is a town in Montenegro and administrative center of the Šavnik Municipality. It is located at the confluence of three rivers – Bukovica, Bijela and Šavnik, at an altitude of 840 meters. It is the lowest lying settlement in the municipality. ŽabljakZabljak is the city on the highest altitude of the Balkans. It is located at the altitude of 1456 m. Located in the very centre of enormous mountain of Durmitor – and in the middle of Durmitor National Park. Zabljak represents the good destination for winter tourism, but for many tourist, this unique city is best choice for summer holiday. In its vicinity there is the deepest canyon in Europe, magnificent canyon of the Tara River. This little city in the north of Montenegro surrounded by numerous lakes and a number of mountain tops. For its natural beauties emerging at each step Zabljak attracts a large number of visitors during the summer. The knowledge that Durmitor outside winter is covered by 1,500 species of various plans is reason enough for visiting of this little city.
